After Woodgate we went further south and stayed in Maryborough for a week. Maryborough is a town we would normally pass through on our way somewhere else as we didn't realise it had much to offer. Our decision to stay was mainly because it was a cheap place to stay and offered easy access to the area around Maryborough, to places like Hervey Bay and the Fraser Coast. To our surprise we found a town which offered much more than we had anticipated. While there, as well as the long enjoyable walks on the beach, we were able to take day trips up to Burum Heads, Elliot Heads, Burnett Heads, Bargara Beach and Bundaberg. Sue, Tony and The Girls (A Pink Poodle and a Purple Poodle) were great companions and we have missed them since leaving Woodgate. Tony and Sue often entertained us with their wit, humour, conversation and musical talent. Tony on the Piano Accordion and Sue playing the Ukulele constantly amazed us with both talent and generosity. A few photos here will show a little more of our time in Woodgate: Taken on the Beach at Burum Heads View of the Burum River from the walkway at Burum Heads One of the many table settings placed ...
