Above the Valley of the Kings

This photo taken by Laurence Jurman was taken of me sitting above the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. Laurence and I had cycled most of the way out to a Range where we left our pushbikes and trekked over the ridge and then down into the valley before spending the day looking through tombs etc.. this was just before we descended down into the Valley itself.

Slowly, Slowly, we have progress.

Hopefully today we will see some steps going onto our front patio. Yesterday we have had a little more progress on our retaining wall and I can see that we will actually get this finished at some point in the future. We are pretty happy that the wall is done and it serves the intended purpose. In terms of our prospective adventure, I have been preparing a Wiki Camps map with a tentative outline of just where we will be going and some dates so that some of you can follow us on the way. I will post that map tomorrow or later today.  I can't help but start to get a little bit excited now, so with a little more planning all seems to be coming together.
