Giza

This photo was taken high up on the Cheops Pyramid in 1980. I took this photo myself, along with a few others, just before being questioned by the Egyptian police as to why I felt it necessary to climb the Pyramid. These days I have to admit some shame that at that young age, I did that. Last year at Uluru, I think I atoned for my earlier bad behaviour by respecting the wishes of the Pitjantjara people with their request not to climb Uluru.

Hi everybody; Wow; time is passing very quickly now and we have been just finalising the details with the house renovations. Today the photos, for our photo wall, are going to be selected and printed. When we have those up and done, we will be well and truly organised. I'll do a little bit of gardening out the back and that's about all there is to be done. Tomorrow will be a big day, I am going up to the caravan and I will be pulling all of the stuff out to clean it and just do some preparation. The cover will come off and I have to fix the new Jockey wheel to the van. Today's post is just a few comments to remind you all that I am still here and keeping the blog going until we get on the road in Ernest. That is when I will start to blog some real information about our trip. Thank's for continuing to check out our blog, I see that there is a constant stream of visits! Richard
